Sweet Dill
As the founding UI/UX designer, I built Sweet Dill’s design system from the ground up, shaping its identity as a tech-forward, trustworthy, and disruptive force in e-commerce. I led the design and delivery of seven key products that expanded the Sweet Dill ecosystem and helped propel it into Product Hunt’s top 15.

Problem
Existing deal-finding applications are broken. Companies like Honey and Rakuten that claim they find the best prices or coupons for items seek to serve businesses, not shoppers. This means that, as shoppers, we find the best deals- only if they exist within stores these deal-finding sites work with.
Solution
Sweet Dill is an AI-powered shopping assistant that restores trust in e-commerce. It analyzes reviews, validates promo codes, and compares prices across sites—free from affiliate bias. With a subscription-based model, Sweet Dill empowers users to shop smarter, combining transparency, accuracy, and convenience in one truth-driven, user-first platform.
1. Objective, Multi-Source Deal Ratings
Sweet Dill analyzes reviews and product feedback from across the web to deliver an unbiased, multi-source verdict on whether a deal is actually worth it—not just advertised as one.
2. Price History Analysis
Sweet Dill tracks real-time and historical pricing across retailers, helping you understand whether today’s price is a true discount, a temporary dip, or simply average—so you can buy with confidence.
3. Unbiased Cross-Retailer Price Comparison
Sweet Dill scans trusted retailers to find the same product at the best available price. No sponsored rankings, no hidden incentives—just real savings, transparently surfaced.
The OG Sweet Dill
Too corporate. Sought to increase approachability and trustworthiness.
V2
Experimented with AI. However, still too impersonable.
V3
Better, but too dull and doesn't embody vibrancy of modern technology.
V4
Retraced with vectors in Figma. However, lacked charm and consistency.
V1: Eye-Catching but Confusing
Very confusing visuals and UI was not updated.
V2: Tech-y but Too Sterile
Simplified the design, but went overboard and stripped Sweeet Dill of its charm. Very modern and clean, but became too technical, almost sterile.
V3: Perfect Balance of Warmth and Understanding
Brought back the warmth and bold words while also maintaining consistent branding and styling across pages while also maximizing visual understanding in the simplest way possible.
Developing Sweet Dill's Web Presence
I developed Sweet Dill's Websites to focus on conversion while updating designs to match new branding.
Here is an example of an update to the site:
Old Website Hero
Unengaging due to complex visual
Unclear branding with white background
Antiquated design and typefaces
New Website Hero
Simple 15-sec video demo for immediate understanding
Greens demonstrate trust and prosperity; highlights CTA button
Modern feel with gradients and customized typefaces
Takeaways
Feedback and iteration is key.
Throughout the entire design process, I was constantly looking to the founder, stakeholders, and engineers for feedback on my design and messaging. To me, creations can be torn apart and taken down whenever because they can always be improved. Having their different perspectives allowed my designs and messaging to be the best that it can be.
Design is nothing without product understanding.
As the sole designer on the team, I learned to take notes on all aspects of the product, whether that is how AI is used to discover the best deals or how we are marketing our extension. This allowed me to see how my design fits into the rest of the Sweet Dill ecosystem, enabling me to create designs that align with our messaging while also intuitive for developer hand-off.
Stay curious, always.
Because of their inevitable growth, my goal as a designer and brand strategist was to discover how to best use AI and internet resources to accelerate my processes. Every day, I scoured the internet for AI, news, updates, and workflows and predicted design trends. This helped me prompt engineer a functional Sweet Dill landing page site with precision, minimal cost, and minimal time and keep designs up-to-trend.
